Reflexology Training

ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY

Your Anatomy and Physiology unit is included in the course fee and you will be studying this unit whilst training as a Reflexologist with the London School of Reflexology.

We will provide you with a comprehensive and simple framework in which you can understand the fascinating workings of the human body.

This element of the course will involve both class tuition and home study. Studying each of the human body systems, you will learn about the functions of all the organs and parts of the body. In applied physiology we will go into more depth and concentrate on various conditions and how different lifestyles can influence the onset and development of diseases.

You will learn how to see the body as a world and not just individual countries. We will discuss how unrelated ailments have a connection. For example many people take antacids to help reduce the symptoms of acid reflex. Did you know that there is an association between the overuse of anti-acids and recurring bronchitis? Anti-acids neutralize stomach acid; however, this hydrochloric acid has an important role in killing digested pathogens. These pathogens are great tourists and can make their way up the oesophagus and down the trachea and into the lungs. These bacterium, virus, or other microorganism can cause disease and in some cases recurring bronchitis. Reflexology with an holistic approach to health is a natural safe way of strengthening the systems of the body and helping to create better health.

You will learn about the causes and damaging effects of stress and how to treat stress-related conditions. Given that the general view is that over 75% of illness is caused by stress we can never under estimate how this can impact on all the systems of the body.

You will learn how to use a range of specialized Reflexology skills and techniques to help change the symptom pattern of disease and strengthen the body’s own healing mechanisms
